Switzerland Cabaret Morath Geiler, 1961 (b/w photo)

The Swiss cabaret duo Walter Morath and Voli Geiler at a press reception on 20 March 1961. The two appeared together for the first time in 1948 in the cabaret “Nebelhorn”. In the same year, the couple made their first duo appearance in Zurich with the “Program for Two”. Voli Geiler and Walter Morath have been on stage for over 20 years. Not least thanks to their numerous radio and television appearances, the couple were among the stars of the Swiss cabaret, especially in the 1960s. In addition to the parodistic programs with Walter Morath, Voli Geiler also played in various feature films. She died on 11 November 1992 at the age of 77.
