AIRBUS A320 OF SWITZERLAND'S NEW FLAG CARRIER SWISS TAKES OFF IN BASLE, 2002-01-31 (photo)

An Airbus A320 of Switzerland's new flag carrier, which will fly under the name of swiss, takes off in Basle January 31, 2002. The name is followed by the country's name in its four languages (Schweiz, Suisse, Svizzera, Svizra). The traditional white cross on a red field stays on the tail in a version which differs only from the one Swissair used to fly around with by having a narrow white line above the red.
