Image description

The route to the refugee camp in Adliswil, Canton Zurich, is “militarily closed”, recorded in September 1944. The refugee camp is located in the transverse wing of the building of the disused Mechanical Silk Weaving Mill Adliswil MSA. In 1942, the federal government took over the building and set up a camp for 500 refugees under military command. As a reception and quarantine camp, it is only a stopover for refugees before they are distributed to smaller labour camps run by civilian authorities.
