Model Tanya (one name) shows off gems before the opening of an exclusive jewellery store in central Melbourne October 14. The heart-shaped ruby and diamond necklace, made up of nine carats of rubies plus 32 carats of diamonds, costs $US156,000 and was worn by actress Julia Roberts in a hollywood movie. The ring comprises one carat of rubies plus 2.5 carats of diamonds and costs US$16,2500 with the earrings comprising two carats of rubies plus eight carats of diamonds, costing $ US$32.500 for the pair. The new store, in Australia's second largest city, joins other branches in places like Paris, Beverly Hills, Monte Carlo, Cannes and Los Angeles. WB/RT
