An unidentified Kenyan woman holds her blonde-haired child at a demonstration by Maasai women outside the British High Commission in Nairobi August 14, 2003. The protest was aimed at pressuring the British government to hold an independent public inquiry into alleged rapes of women by British troops over the past 30 years during annual military exercises held in the north of the East African country. Many of the 100 women in the protest were accompanied by children they allege were born as a result of rape by British soldiers. Britain's Ministry of Defence is holding its own inquiry into the alleged assaults and has declined to comment on the allegations. REUTERS/William Maclean
