French museum collections: the Musée d'Orsay in Paris
Here is another episode of our in-depth look at the French museum collections that Bridgeman Images owns and distributes through its historic agency Giraudon. Among others, the collection of the Musée d'Orsay features prominently.
The Giraudon agency was the first large French photographic agency that Bridgeman Images acquired. This acquisition made possible widespread documentation of the world of culture and art in France. High definition shots by Luisa Ricciarini, Photo Josse and Sylvain Collet have been added to this collection.
The Musée d’Orsay has the richest collection in the world devoted to Impressionist painters and Western art between 1848 and 1914.
Discover the pleasure of accessing a unique archive combined with the quality of the Bridgeman Images service: All images are of the highest quality and consist of large format scans and accurate cataloguing.
