Ireland’s capital city played host to this year’s FOCAL International Seminar

15/10/10. Hosted in Dublin Castle, the seminar focussed on the business of archives and footage. Panel topics included business models, marketing and branding, covering production and financial issues impacting on archives.

Harriet Bridgeman was part of a panel discussing how these models must change, alongside industry representatives from Europe and the USA including Paul Maidment of BBC Motion Gallery and Josh Rucchi of Getty Images.

With a keynote speech by Lord Puttnam opening the proceedings, the day concluded that there is a positive and exciting future ahead for the new digital age.
