Competition: Enter the Great Outdoors
Published 30/03/2015
We are excited to introduce the second annual Bridgeman Studio Award to uncover new creative talent for the archive. What does the Great Outdoors mean to you?
Call for entries: Bridgeman Studio Award 2015
Artists and creatives, get ready to win fantastic prizes. Enter our competition and you could win one of many great prizes including your own product range sold on CultureLabel.com or a commission for the Wilderness Festival.
Bridgeman Studio continues to make great strides in sourcing and nurturing the best contemporary creatives for image licensing. To celebrate this, we have put together a stellar line-up of prizes, judges and sponsors for our 2015 competition. Our partners will help us choose winning imagery which best reflects talent, market trends, and most importantly, provides us with imagery that matches the needs of Bridgeman's clients.
Competition Details
We want to see your images representing the theme of the Great Outdoors. To enter, submit up to five digital images of artwork you have created on this theme.
Winning entries for the First Prize will be chosen based on their commercial potential for product licensing. Winning entries for the Grand Prize will be chosen for their style and suitability for a contemporary map commission.
We will be looking for high-quality, digital images which sum up exploration, travel, freedom and wild nature. Get outside, sniff the breeze and get inspired by nature! What does the great outdoors mean to you? From a literal to a typographic or abstract representation, we’re looking for fresh perspectives.
A range of media is encouraged including painting, fine art photography, printmaking, illustration and graphic works. Please note that we are not looking for stock photography.
Three winners will receive their own product line (eg limited edition print, tea-towel, T-shirt) on CultureLabel, featuring their images. They will also be invited to join Bridgeman Studio for licensing and given one year’s free subscription.
Grand Prize - £500 Commission
£500 commission to create the Wilderness Festival map, which 20,000 visitors to the festival will receive on arrival.
A work of art in itself, the map will fold out to A3 size and will additionally be shown on large signage at the event in August. In addition the winner will receive one year’s free subscription on Bridgeman Studio (worth £100).
This is your chance to get professional representation for your work. Good luck!
