Image description: APOLLINAIRE, Guillaume (1880-1918.) Les Onze mille verges ou les amours d’un Hospodar. Menton-Garavan: P.-L.-M. [by Massol for René Bonnel], 1932. Octavo (195 x 140 mm). Extra-illustrated with seven original drawings, three of these pastels in the text, and the other four watercolours by another artist. (Occasional light spotting.) Original drab wrappers, the covers silk-screened in pink (spine ends chipped, extremities lightly faded, light wear). COPY NUMBER 1 OF 130 COPIES ONLY, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED WITH SEVEN ORIGINAL DRAWINGS. Bonnel first published this work in 1930; this copy is from the third printing. Dutel 2107; Pia Enfer, 975.
