Description
Inscribed L*HER*FLO for Lucius Herennius Florus, the owner of a villa at Boscoreale, Bay of Naples, preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Probably the official seal of the household with intaglio winged caduceus, the staff of Mercury, god of commerce.
