Detail of a proof print containing four duplicate views showing the former mansion of businessman Henry Pratt (1761-1836) built 1799-1800 in East Fairmount Park. Lemon Hill, purchased by the city of Philadelphia in 1844, was the first Fairmount mansion obtained by the city to establish a public park, i.e., Fairmount Park. The residence was used as a lager beer garden following the establishment of the park in 1855.
