Advertisement depicting the elegantly dressed lady of the house and her African American domestic, in kerchief and apron, polishing a heating and cooking stove with a can of Leadbeater's. The mistress, wearing white gloves, brushes polish on the furnace. Her bare-handed servant, kneeled in front of the stove, turns and admires her reflection on the furnace's shiny surface. Leadbeater & Company, was a one year partnership between Philadelphia stove polish merchants, F.C. Leadbeater and D.L. Wells, at 920 Market Street.
