They were Captain Carlsen of the” Flying Enterprise” fame - and Rad wan Baltaji the port pilot who made three trips to the sinking liner” Champollion” in heavy seas when she ran aground off the Lebanese coast last December. He rescued about 50 people on each of his trips in spite of seas which were getting heavier each time. After that he got a smaller boat - which was easier to manage and made three trips to rescue about another 40 people. On the third trip the tiny boat - carrying thirteen survivors capsized twelve were rescued and one a little boy - died
