Image description

Frontenac Motor Company, Indianapolis, IN Three quarter front view of new Frontenac Straight Eight with “Burt” Single Sleeve Valve Engine, showing large radiator, front wheel “Lockheed” hydraulic brakes with cord tires. Balloons are supplied on option, and either disc, wire or wood wheels. The emergency brake on this new car is novel. It acts on the transmission, and is of the internal expanding type, with metal shoes expanding on bronze drums. The four wheel brakes are Lockheeds are of the external contracting type and are operated with very little pressure. A Sedan is also announced by the company to be ready soon. The lighting of this new member of the quality family is thorough. Double spots as well as driving lights beside the head-lights re fitted. The rear light is center mounted and is of a new form that throws its red light in all directions. It is a bell shaped glass somewhat resembling glass insulators to which light and telephone wires are strung. The extra wide trunk at the rear contains two suit cases with a small compartment at the side for other odds and ends.
