Switzerland Anti-Russian Demonstration, 1961 (b/w photo)

On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Bolshevik October Revolution, the Russian Embassy in Bern invited the diplomatic corps, members of the authorities and friends of the Soviet Union to a traditional celebration. The action 'Young Bern', middle school students, students and opponents of communism demonstrated on that day on the Bundesplatz, followed by riots in front of the Russian embassy, taken on November 7, 1961. The demonstrators were pushed back by the police after they tried to break the police cordon around the embassy building with a car.
