Described as the “Rolls Royce” of American motorcycles, Henderson motorcycles had engines similar to an automobile, and were produced in Detroit beginning in 1912, until the company was purchased by Schwinn Bicycle Company which moved its production to Chicago in 1917, from a collection of transportation artifacts at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, Illinois.
