Announcing the 2024 Book Cover Award Winners

Bridgeman Images is thrilled to unveil the winners of the 2024 Book Cover Awards, celebrating exceptional creativity and innovation in book cover design. Our esteemed panel of expert judges, including industry leaders and creative visionaries, had the challenging task of selecting outstanding covers that captivate, resonate, and push the boundaries of artistic expression. Explore the winners of this year's edition below:

North America: Cecilia R. Zhang - "The Vegan" by Andrew Lipstein

Cecilia R. Zhang takes the crown in North America for her mesmerizing cover of "The Vegan" by Andrew Lipstein, published by FSG in the United States. Zhang masterfully blends elements from a Japanese Grass Lizard lithograph and a 1940s Italian promotional postcard to create a visually striking composition. The neon greens scream off the cover, beckoning book lovers to grab this title off the shelf.

People's Pick: Jan de Boer - "Wolventijd" by Torre Skeie

The People's Pick, determined by a global online vote, goes to Jan de Boer for the cover of "Wolventijd" by Torre Skeie, published by Uitgeverij Omniboek in The Netherlands. De Boer's chilling modernisation of a historic 1901 etching of Nordic viking ships, recolored and adapted for a contemporary audience, stood out and garnered widespread acclaim.
